Festival Design

Halloween Howls Portlaoise

, , , ,

The Halloween Howls Comedy Festival in Portlaoise have been using Design associates for all their visual communications since the festival started in 2007.

We created a brand that is strong and playful and that could be successfully applied to all forms of multi-media.  The website is great craic in itself, while the posters, fliers, banners and T-shirts would catch the eye of even a blind man, or woman (to be totally p.c.)!  Rolling it out across all of the festival’s visual communications this brand and logo could compete with international standards of festival branding. With the use of strong branding it has allowed the festival to use a lot of their promotional material each year thus saving on the costs of reprinting promotional material each year.

Open House Galway 2013

, , , , ,

Open House Galway have asked us this year to design all their promotional material: Brochure, poster, website, invite and advertisements. The photo taken by Tadhg Keady was chosen as it is an ideal photo for allowing the best space for the logo and the content that is needed.

The brochure is easy to follow in a day by day format with a nice clean grid click here to view a copy of the brochure. The website allows us to give a lot more information with individual location maps & trail location maps. We wish them well and remember all these events are free so get snooping around all these great locations from 10th – 13th of October 2013.

25th Galway Film Fleadh

We at design associates have been very proud to be branding they Galway Film Fleadh since 2005. This year we came up with the killer idea of rebranding the Film Fleadh Floozy form the original poster as a new and redesigned floozy. We commissioned the illustrator Matthew Griffin to illustrate the floozy then we applied the floozy across this years promotional material. This year like the last 8 years we were involved in every aspect of their material from a 116 page promotional programme (click here to view this programme) to adverts, mini programme, posters, banners, street signage, the festival website (and the off season website).

Fresh Film Festival 2013

Fresh Film Festival is the place for all you aspiring young filmmakers to have your masterpieces screened in front of captive audiences, get invaluable feedback, see the latest inspiring feature films, take part in workshops and enter for consideration in the Ireland’s Young Filmmaker Competition annually.

We have been providing festival design for the fresh film festival since it began in 1997 and in recent years have been working with an illustrator to help us come up with a unique brand. This Festival is a great one for promoting film to the young and giving them a platform to show their work.

Nenagh Arts Centre

, ,

The newly refurbished Nenagh Arts Centre approached us to Design the new brand for their arts centre. Along with the brand we designed a programme template that will let people know what is going on in the centre. This consists of quarterly programmes for the centre advertising the events going on in the centre. The brand of the windows is based on the distinctive new look to the outside of the centre. Galway Arts Festival 2013

, ,

We were commissioned by the Galway Arts Festival design team to organise anything online for the festival. This year included the development of a new online store, a new first thoughts section which encompassed  live streaming on some of their discussions and a gallery fund section to try to help them generate the funds for next years amazing art exhibitions which are free. Each year the arts festival sells most of their tickets through the website and it is an invaluable tool for them. We are very proud to be working with such a progressive festival and appreciate the continued loyalty.
